This is a stop motion animation created by a University student. I really like this illustration animation because I like the use of silhouettes and moving shapes as the main movement I think I could combine this nicely with some fine liner detailed illustration to create my own edge on it. I have captured a still from the animation and responded to this in my book.
I really like this animation as it’s such a mix of different medias. I think that the idea of having something opening and then going inside it, I think I could possibly use an old suitcase and have the rest of my animations inside the suitcase. I also like the tree’s cut out of the paper and bent forward, I have taken a screen shot of this and responded to it in my book.
I really like this stop motion animation using cut paper, I think that it is important to have a background and think that the newspaper has worked really well, this could be a good choice for my piece. I also like the idea of just using paper in different shapes. I have taken a still shot of this and visually responded to it in my book.
I found this animation on YouTube by yannikronenberg posted in 2009. Although I am not too keen on the storyline of the illustration I like the chalk animation idea especially the use of multiple chalk boards I think this works really well. i have taken a still of the animation to visually respond to in my book and I will try to create my own chalk board animation.
I found this motion stop animation on YouTube by nosnoma. Although it looks really difficult to create I like the whole idea of cutting out an image and peeling it off and moving it away. I thought I could use this method to create a balloon peeling away from the page and floating off into the sky, I will have to have a different colour piece of paper for the background as otherwise it will blend in as there won’t be a shadow to differentiate the shape.
This is my favourite animation video I have found so far it is the official music video for Lenka – We will not grow old. I really love the mix of illustration and photography and think that the styles all work really well together. I enjoy the whole thing but the most inspiring parts I found were the photographing of the walking up the steps and the balloon blowing. I also really like the general movement of small collage pieces. I have taken a couple of screen shots to visually respond to in my book.
