This animation was an experiment on colour, using previous work and adding colour to see the difference and improvement. The animation begins with the face of food from a previous animation however it transforms into a jar of jam and then strawberries and finally finishing with text. An element that I like about this animation is the use of colour, thanks to the colour the animation evolves as it moves along transforming into different shapes and objects. Some id like to work on is the text, next time I will use the computer to write the text hopefully producing a more professional piece of work. In future work I will use the idea of objects and images evolving into different things, I think this looks interesting and unique.

This is one of the fist animations I drew out, very simple and easy to draw. The idea Is a plate of breakfast food; sausage, eggs, beans and bacon. Creating a fun and interesting image- child friendly. this image then continues to become an empty plate that then breaks up. I feel if I wanted to explore this idea further the plate could then form something else made from the broken pieces of plate. An element that I really liked in this animation is the illustration, I think it looks fun and interactive with the audience. Something id like to improve on is making the length of the animation longer. In future work I will create animations that last longer and take into consideration the way the images could evolve into something else.

Evaluation Of Final Piece
For this animation project I did not really plan anything instead I improvised during the production and after seeing the outcome I thought I could have actually planned a production method in doing this animation brief because it would have help me a lot considering this is one of the first time I did animation. I would say I am most proud of the transitions I applied to the clips just using repetition of image however I thought it took an awful amount time for me to do other things for this project but on the other-hand I am satisfied with the result. As I said earlier I spent an awful amount time doing one thing and I have let the other things fall apart but if I had another chance to do this again I would do things differently and produce a timetable which limits the time I will be spending on each contents in order to achieve an even amount of work. One of the animation artist that influenced me in doing a typography type animation is Randall Stephens "I statements" this animation is basically based on just pure typography and I thought the transitions he applied to it was brilliant. The development did not go so well because I did not get to produce a fair amount of animation I could have developed through the time I was doing it but on my book I thought the development was alright, I wouldn't say its good. Following that the experimentation links to development because without experimentation you cant really develop a lot in your design however my experimentation on this project I would say is good because I have tested different things throughout the production. The aim of the brief is to use animation for advertising breakfast food which I thought I answered well because its I have created typography which relates to breakfast foods which was the point of my animation. We did not get to choice our own topic for the final piece instead we as a class had the same objective to do which is to produce an animation and I thought I responded to this assignment well because I did what it ask me to do its just I did not produce enough work for it. I strongly think my final piece strongly communicates clearly to the brief its just I didn't finish my final design for the reason being that I lack time to do it, its not because we were not given enough time its because I spent way too much time on one thing and didn't get to finish other stuff. I would say I am proud of my transitions in my final piece because I thought they were produced well however my final piece just needs finishing and editing to get it in a perfect position. As you have read before if I had to do this project again I would change time limits on producing something and even out the concentration for the whole topic. For my next topic I have already thought of what I will be doing first of all, I would plan a timetable and manage the time I will be spending on each contents

RR - Final Piece.

For my final piece, I drew everything in my book beforehand and then scanned it into the computer to use. The main reason I did this was so that I knew the features in the animation were 100% mine. Also, I think using my own typography and photos has made the animation more personal and more appealing to the eye. I have tried to use a different font for each slide but I have also used the same shades of red and blue for the entire animation. I have also added a few different entrances for the features in the animation. For example, The logo at the beginning spinning 360°. In my opinion, this adds a little time to the animation without slowing things down or making it boring. It also shows a further knowledge of experimentation with animation that I have learnt through out the project. Something to improve on would still be the timing. After finishing my piece and showing other peers, some felt it hard to keep up with certain points of the animation. I also feel that I should have designated myself more time to complete my final animation as I think I could have shown further skills within making the animation. I wanted to include the 'writing' type feature I used within my Basement animation, but the process was extremely time consuming and I did not have enough time. Although I still think there is a clear line of development through out my various designs and that there is a clear path of how I ended up with this final piece.

AF- FINAL PIECE

For my final piece I started by redrawing the jam, toast, knife and clock in my book and then scanned them into photoshop where I added the colour. I also added the word 'jam' to the jam pot as I had left it out in my development. I then wrote out the majority of the poem in my book which I also scanned into photoshop where I changed the black letters to purple. I then selected the white background around the drawings and deleted it, making each drawing separate so I could position them individually. After I got the in the position I wanted them in I selected each drawing layer and merged them into one so I could move them down together. I then moved them down a little then saved it as a jpeg and repeated this process until the food were almost out of sight at the bottom. I then placed the writing over, a letter at a time or a word at a time for some. Not all of my typography scanned in very well so I used a mixture of photoshop font and my own. I ran out of time nearer the end which can be seen as it looks very rushed. For my next project I need to work on time management and backing up my work (if it's on the computer) as I had to redo my work due to the computer not working. I am pleased with my final piece as it communicates clear and is easy to read but the ending ruins it a bit as it is too rushed.
